Whitney Houston

Whitney Elizabeth Houston (August 9, 1963 - February 11, 2012) was an American singer, actress, and former fashion model. Houston released her debut album Whitney Houston in 1985, which became the best-selling debut album by a female artist at the time of release. Houston appeared in her first starring role in the feature film The Bodyguard in 1992. The film's original soundtrack won the 1994 Grammy Award for Album of the Year. Its lead single, Houston's remake of the 1974 Dolly Parton song "I Will Always Love You", became one of the best-selling singles in music history. On January 11, 2000, airport security guards discovered marijuana in both Houston's and husband Bobby Brown's luggage at a Hawaiian airport, but the two boarded the plane and departed before authorities could arrive. Charges were later dropped against her and Brown, but rumors of drug usage between the couple would continue to surface. In 2002, Houston did an interview with Diane Sawyer to promote her upcoming album. During the prime-time special, Houston spoke on topics including rumored drug use and marriage. She was asked about the ongoing drug rumors and replied, "First of all, let's get one thing straight. Crack is cheap. I make too much money to ever smoke crack. Let's get that straight. Okay? We don't do crack. We don't do that. Crack is whack." Houston did, however, admit to using various substances at times.

When Stan misses his and Francine's anniversary to go on a CIA fishing trip in "Francine's Flashback", he shows up home looking to make amends with an excuse that he did not forget and had just been trying to throw Francine off; and brings with him singer Whitney Houston for a private performance, in exchange for a fix of cocaine. She sings part of her classic hit Greatest Love of All when Whitney breaks down from too much cocaine before leaving.

The song playing when Abraham Lincoln's bodyguard is holding him in his arms in "Lincoln Lover" is "I Will Always Love You" performed by Whitney Houston which was heard in the film The Bodyguard.
