Hi, welcome to American Dad Wikia! Thanks for your edit to the 1600 Candles/Notes page.
The version is featured primarily in Pt. 2. Yes, it does appear in the final minutes of pt 1 but it is primarily known as the Pt. 2 version. --Buckimion 03:14, May 18, 2012 (UTC)
Uh, no. The DeLorean is featured prominently in Part 1. It appears at the beginning, where Doc shows Marty how time travel works, and Marty rides it to escape from Libyan terrorists who want to kill Doc for plutonium. Just sayin'... Curious Poker Chip ~ 08:17, May 17, 2012 (Pacific)
Mr. Fusion. 'Nuff said. --Buckimion 03:19, May 18, 2012 (UTC)
We're talking about Mr. Fusion? Well in that case... Curious Poker Chip ~ 08:20, May 17, 2012 (Pacific)
The information given at Comic Con is sketchy at best. Although I will accept the entry for "American Stepdad", there is NO evidence seen so far that "Love, American Dad Style" will be the first episode of the new season unless you have a link that absolutely says that is it. --Buckimion (talk) 03:44, July 16, 2012 (UTC)
True, true. I have a link. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WD66y8UeysQ
You may have fallen victim to someone else's vandalism. At the link the provided on Wikipedia as their "source", Chloe is not listed. Using wikipedia as a source is never a good idea. --Buckimion (talk) 10:55, August 16, 2012 (UTC)
'Kay, thanks. I'll remember that for next time. ~Curious Poker Chip 9:52, August 16th, 2012 (Western)
OTH - someone may have heard something accurate and failed to link another source properly. :) We won't know without a real source. If I hear something in the meantime, I'll try to reinstate your original page. --Buckimion (talk) 17:00, August 16, 2012 (UTC)
All right. Fair enough. ~Curious Poker Chip 16:34, August 16th, 2012 (Western)
I think your statement about coffee is going out on a limb. While trying to find a source to back it up, I ran across this interview with Jerry Seinfeld which seems to contradict your statement. --Buckimion (talk) 20:40, December 6, 2012 (UTC)
I own the Seinfeld season 1 & 2 DVD, and it said in the notes of an episode (I forget which one) that Jerry Seinfeld disliked coffee and only drank it during filming of scenes in Monk's coffee shop. ~Curious Poker Chip 1:50 P.M. (Pacific) December 6th, 2012
For the last time, only those either touted by FOX as guest stars or certified 'A" list will be listed under guest stars. There will be no listing of two-bit hack actors in this position. --Buckimion (talk) 22:39, March 8, 2013 (UTC)
Alrighty. I've learned my lesson. Sorry for being annoying to you, will try not to let it happen again (on purpose) ~Curious Poker Chip 2:44 p.m., March 8th, 2013 (Pacific)
Wannatabe and Josh Gad would get a pass under the "A" list rule, but I am trying to figure out just who they played. A source I trust says Gad played someone named "Art" but there is no such listed character. --Buckimion (talk) 22:50, March 8, 2013 (UTC)
I actually firmly thought that Watanabe and Gad would make it in while the others were kinda hacky like you said. Again, I am sorry and will make sure that the guest actors are A-listers and that FOX says that they are in there or another official source, like Futon Critic ~Curious Poker Chip 2:57 p.m., March 8th, 2013 (Pacific)
If you run across any voice names for known characters you can add their link on the character page. That was one of the projects I was holding for this summer but there is no need for me to get greedy. --Buckimion (talk) 23:14, March 8, 2013 (UTC)
What do you mean? ~Curious Poker Chip 4:17 p.m., March 8th, 2013 (Pacific)
Although we don't list them as "Guest Stars", voice actors that voiced characters that we don't have listed may be added to the character pages provided you are using a source like TVGuide or TVRage that do not rely on fan input. IMDB is no better than Wikipedia as far as fanboys putting in who they THINK voiced characters that have yet to be identified and I have found them to be wrong almost as often as they are right. --Buckimion (talk) 00:23, March 9, 2013 (UTC)
Aw, okay. I get it now. Thanks! ~Curious Poker Chip 4:26 p.m., March 8th 2013 (Pacific)
Okay... thanks for that. I did not know at the time I made the edits. I will be sure to remember that later on (like if they announce more stars at Comic-Con). ~Curious Poker Chip 6:01 p.m. June 25th, 2013 (Pacific)
If it is a completely new voice, we post a link on the upcoming season list of (new) guest stars. That way, we keep track of those left to go or those that have disappeared from showing. The others we simply leave until they show up on a PR slip or credits. --Buckimion (talk) 01:04, June 25, 2013 (UTC)
What does PR stand for? ~Curious Poker Chip 6:08 p.m. June 25th, 2013 (Pacific)
So let me see if I have this right. If for whatever reason Mark Cuban or Stanley Tucci or Jacki Weaver, who all have credits this upcoming year, are out of the episode, then you can just omit their pages from the wiki and just go about your merry way. But if Zooey or Mariah who have been on before, but also have credits this year, are omitted then it's a lot harder if someone already stated that they were in beforehand. ~Curious Poker Chip 6:14 p.m. June 25th, 2013 (Pacific)
That is about the size of it. That doesn't really stand out until someone stumbles over it. We have had guest stars in the past get delayed or replaced so it is not like it is an unheard-of occurrence. --Buckimion (talk) 01:20, June 25, 2013 (UTC)
Gotcha! ~Curious Poker Chip 6:24 p.m., June 25th, 2013 (Pacific)
Sorry I wasn't able to reply quickly. In National Treasure 4, Francine was finishing up the hard math problem (I forget its name) and gave the answer as seven. The teacher, Brink, said it was wrong. Then after kept saying Matthew and "Math you can understand is what I teach in this class." ~Curious Poker Chip 11:34 a.m. August 2nd, 2013 (Pacific)
If you attach your statement about Matt leaving the show to the end of the voice credit along with the source, I can probably let that slide. ie: "Buckle is voiced by Matt McKenna who would report in "XXXXX" that he left the show due to "XXXXXX"." --Buckimion (talk) 01:36, October 15, 2013 (UTC)
Bad Blood "goof"
I wanted to explain better that the video was reviewed, and when Stan demands to look at Roger's game, he yanks it, shaking the balls loose. Can't count that. --Buckimion (talk) 15:13, December 1, 2013 (UTC)
Yeah, thanks. I was thinking that Stan shoke the balls loose. ~Curious Poker Chip 9:03 a.m. December 1st, 2013 (Pacific)
Alan is not featured in the official PR release and if he should appear, will be listed ONLY under Guest Voice Credits Season 9 unless it is believed that Robin is the actual typo. --Buckimion (talk) 21:29, April 22, 2014 (UTC)
Okay. ~Curious Poker Chip 5:52 p.m. April 27th, 2014 (Pacific)
I got that. I was going to post one more and then call it a day, but okay, I know when to call it quits. ~Curious Poker Chip 9:16 a.m. April 28th, 2014 (Pacific)
I stand corrected. ~Curious Poker Chip 8:38 p.m. May 2nd, 2014 (Pacific)
Actually, just looked it up and not related. But I'm not certain it hasn't already been done before and would get a headache looking through all of the Guest Voice Credits by Season. --Buckimion (talk) 03:41, May 3, 2014 (UTC)
That's fine, man. I understand completely. Maybe, I'll check it out tomorrow. ~Curious Poker Chip 8:42 p.m. May 2nd, 2014 (Pacific)
I thought you didn't want Wikipedia links on this Wiki site. ~Curious Poker Chip 2:13 p.m. May 10th, 2014 (Pacific)
While we are not making NEW links, we are not going on a "search-and-destroy" on old ones without a useful edit on the page. I don't need a mail box full of edit notifications. Read the entire entry in the American Dad! Wiki:Editing Policy. --Buckimion (talk) 21:18, May 10, 2014 (UTC)
Sorry about that. I'll remember for next time. ~Curious Poker Chip 2:22 p.m. May 10th, 2014 (Pacific)
I'll leave you to it then. Hope the food tastes good. ~Curious Poker Chip 2:31 p.m. May 10th, 2014 (Pacific)
Ok, new pages...
I'd be honoured. ~Curious Poker Chip 1:47 p.m. July 20th, 2014 (Pacific)
Figures. ~Curious Poker Chip 1:52 p.m. July 20th, 2014 (Pacific)
But I saw him in the video. ~Curious Poker Chip 1:50 p.m. September 19th, 2014 (Pacific)
I paused the "Vibing on Her Lady Pheromones" video right at the end with Dick and Jackson to see if I could see anyone else, and I saw Bullock in the shadows behind Jackson. ~Curious Poker Chip 2:40 p.m. September 19th, 2014 (Pacific)
Fair enough. I can be patient and reasoned with. Enjoy your football. ~Curious Poker Chip 10:37 a.m. September 21st, 2014 (Pacific)
Understandable. I probably should have mentioned to watch the clip in the summary. ~Curious Poker Chip 11:40 a.m. September 21st, 2014 (Pacific)
Right! Right, right, right. Forgot about that. Simple brainfart on my part. ~Curious Poker Chip 7:02 p.m. October 6th, 2014 (Pacific)
Alrighty. I am a big of a fanatic of pop culture and sometimes can't help it. I thought of waiting to see if they got any accolades before including them, but I won't anymore now that you asked me not to. I know not to tread on dangerous waters. ~Curious Poker Chip 8:37 p.m. April 12th, 2015 (Pacific)
Alright, calm down. No need to tell me twice. I am not going to do it again, unless of course I forget. ~Curious Poker Chip 8:33 p.m. April 18th, 2015 (Pacific)
A heads up on Notes Hierarchy
I try to keep things in the following order:
- Pre-episode information such as episode name changes, title notes that don't quite qualify as references.
- Cast notes on missing key cast members.
- Episode notes - happenings in the episode. Songs are grouped together when possible.
- Continuity errors that don't qualify as goofs.
- Post-episode notes such as awards.
- Commentary from the internet or DVD after the episode has aired.
While there is some wiggle room depending on how important something is or if it concerns an already logged note, I found this helps actually keep things easier to find. --Buckimion (talk) 02:56, March 11, 2016 (UTC)
Okay fair enough. I am not going to remember that, but I apologize for any troubles I may have caused. I guess I was used to putting notes in wherever I wanted to when I first started regularly editing. ~Curious Poker Chip 10:31 p.m. March 10th, 2016 (Pacific)
Both guest voices were deleted. You didn't seem all that positive on the one for Nurse Jocelyn, and Missy Elliott did not even have that much. We will not accept pages without the character positively identified. --Buckimion (talk) 01:54, March 17, 2016 (UTC)
Okay sorry. I was pretty sure that Betsy was Jocelyn and I think Missy was one of the students. I'm not good with pin-pointing specific characters with guest voices unless they are really iconic. Again, sorry. ~Curious Poker Chip 6:57 p.m. March 16th, 2016 (Pacific)
Alright. ~Curious Poker Chip 7:00 p.m. March 16th, 2016 (Pacific)
More on Guest Voices
Those that already have a page don't need an update. This includes Susan Sarandon, Andy Richter and Corey Stoll. All NEW pages should be anchored first under Season 14 in the Episode Guide. I'll give you a chance to work on them while I take a breather. --Buckimion (talk) 22:21, July 23, 2016 (UTC)
Sure thing. Did my best. Sorry about the crap but yeah. Also the new season is coming in October. ~Curious Poker Chip 3:44 p.m. July 23rd, 2016 (Pacific)
Top of the Steve
As I noted in the summary in the previous reversal, you will have to PROVE there is a valid connection to "Top of the Lake". I've reversed others that think it is "Top of the Morning", Top of the Charts", "Top of the List"...you get the idea. We need a solid connection. --Buckimion (talk) 03:25, March 3, 2019 (UTC)
I have never seen the show, but I think that the plot summary is similar to the show. I have a feeling that the connection with him going to a girls' school and the strong female cast of Top of the Lake could be like that. I myself always THOUGHT that it was a Top of the Lake reference ever since the episode was announced but I could always be wrong. Again, since I have never watched the show I cannot be for certain. Also if I had edited that in back in the day, then I apologize for doing it again as I had forgotten. Curious Poker Chip (talk) 03:30, March 3, 2019 (UTC)
I just reviewed the plot summary and on first glance, it seems closer to Twin Peaks than Dead Poets Society. Not upset, but there is just too much unknown right now. --Buckimion (talk) 03:39, March 3, 2019 (UTC)
Interested in becoming an admin?
I have reached my breaking point with wikia (fuck fandom) and am stepping down almost immediately, pending wrapping up some loose ends. I will no longer be providing new information. I'm looking at appointing 4-5 people as co-admins and eventually one of you can decide who wants to be beaurocrat. --Buckimion (talk) 20:10, April 15, 2019 (UTC)
If I was the sole admin, I would've probably declined but since you said that the duties will shared by a few people, I think I would like to accept the offer. Thanks!
I am sorry that you are leaving. Even though you had an interesting, somewhat coarse way of ruling on both this and Family Guy Wiki (which I do not watch anymore just to let you know, so if you asked me to be an admin there, I would decline. I prefer American Dad!) and it will be sad to see you leave, especially since you made the Wiki one of the most trusted and non-cluttered I have ever seen. Thank you for your service! Curious Poker Chip (talk) 21:37, April 15, 2019 (UTC)
Only here on American Dad! Wiki. Between you and me, I do not watch Family Guy anymore. Curious Poker Chip (talk) 02:01, April 17, 2019 (UTC)
No doubt. I really watched the show a lot in my teenage years but now I am a man and I came to the realization that the show was quite juvenile and I wasn't a fan of the humour at times. I always loved American Dad! and consider it a superior show. I love Meg Griffin though, which was the only reason I watched it as much as I did for a bit. Curious Poker Chip (talk) 02:45, April 17, 2019 (UTC)
I suppose I could. Curious Poker Chip (talk) 19:09, April 17, 2019 (UTC)
Thanks for reaching out!
I have been contacted by Buckimion regarding I belive two apparent goof-ups.
If anything catches your eye as well, please let me know.
P.s.: I overlooked to sign my letter to Buckimion, and I am going to try it in this letter, let me know how that goes also.
