- Palmer Elymas purports that dinosaurs don't have feathers, contrary to scientific belief[1], and claims that the artist Banksy is really "Captain" Lou Albano, who faked his death
- After learning that Palmer is a fraud and becomes able to reach transcendence, Steve finds that dinosaurs really are covered in brightly colored plumage.

- Snot mistakes Palmer for Klaus.
- Stan thinks Steve and his friends are watching Revenge of the Nerds in his room. Snot's voice actor, Curtis Armstrong, starred in that film and his character, 'Booger', is the inspiration for Snot himself.
- Stan shows a remarkable tracking ability in this episode.
- Palmer uses the John Goodman film King Ralph in his comparison to being rich.
- Stan loses a million dollar wager with Al Tuttle that he'd star as Hamilton in the movie version of Hamilton.
- Among the places that Steve visits as he travels though time and space, is a structure that resembles the inside of the spaceship by Roger's people in "Lost in Space", including a guard of Roger's species in the lower left of the scene.
