Plot:
During a school career day, all of the jobs that Steve is interested in seem like downers, but he does pick up a free radio from an engineer. When he mopes about being an adult, Stan insists it's great, but fails to provide any specifics when pressed. As Steve tries to figure out what to do with his life while fiddling with the radio, he stumbles across a radio show pitching new age mysticism. Intrigued, he starts to pursue an interest in it, but Stan insists he put a stop to it. His anger with Stan causes him to have an out-of-body experience to a strange room and hears a faint voice crying for help, and he surmises that Palmer Elymas, the show host that he was listening to, has vanished and decides he needs to search for him. Believing it to be a conspiracy, he enlists his friends to help him, unaware that Stan is pursuing them.
They manage to sneak into the radio station and locate Palmer's address, but instead of him being the victim of a conspiracy, they find he only has a toothache and admits to faking all the new age stuff. Stan's arrival and getting to say 'I told you so' triggers Steve to have another out-of-body experience. He travels through space and time throughout the world and history, and decides to try to find where the strange room was again. Locating it and rewinding time, he discovers it was his dad's study that Stan had changed as he pursued mysticism to try to break Steve from his trance. Steve wills himself back to his body, where he bonds with his dad and teaches him how to join him in the astral plane. Seeking out an interesting way to use the new power, they travel to Chimdale.
Roger decides to get into the adult film industry by driving a van in which porno films are shot while he drives. While training a protégé, he awaits his turn to be in the back of the van. But when the youngster is selected first, he nearly quits, although he quickly reverses his position. When he's given his chance to be in the back of the van, he demands a rest stop to freshen up at a gas station, but finds a tanker truck blocked him in, and he gets to listen to the rest of the crew discuss doing away with the van and driver.
