The Wizard of Oz is a 1939 American musical fantasy film directed by Victor Fleming. It was based on the 1900 children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum, who died twenty years before this film was released. It features Judy Garland, Ray Bolger, Jack Haley, Bert Lahr and Frank Morgan, with Billie Burke, Margaret Hamilton, Charles Grapewin.

When Miriam Bullock kidnaps Avery Jr. in "One Little Word", Stan and Francine are able to identify their location as Roger's attic by his French Wizard of Oz poster.

In "Flush After Reading", Roger transports himself and Francine into the books while at the library, unaware that Stan is burning several books after being encouraged by the pyromaniac librarian to stop Francine from becoming a nerd.

After escaping the burning book fire at Alice in Wonderland, Roger leads them to The Wizard of Oz where the fire has already reached, observing the immolation of the Scarecrow and the melting of the Tin Woodsman. As they try to figure out what's going on, Francine suspects the librarian who has a history of pyromania, unaware that it is really Stan. As they start to escape again, they pass the charred skeletons of Dorothy and Toto, where Roger makes note of the literary silver slippers instead of the film's ruby. He proceeds to steal the shoes before they continue their run.
