The Learning Annex is where Francine takes a cooking class after finding the family avoiding her home cooked food in "Eight Fires".
When Francine is told that her cooking is 'uninspired' by the family, Klaus recommends that she take a cooking class at the Annex. Although she strictly follows the recipe as given, some of the class improvises little touches here and there and her final product is judged to be bland. She demands a 40% discount and threatens to burn down the Annex. When the instructor, Miss Nadine points out that the place is made of brick, Francine refuses to give up and insists she'll find a fire hot enough to make Miss Nadine pop like popcorn.
