- The title is a reference to The Fast and the Furious series of films.
- Roger's uniform is based on Seth MacFarlane's show The Orville, and his character of Captain Ed Mercer.
- Soso's Pizza is modeled after the Pizza Hut dine-in restaurant, commonly found across the United States and still recognizable today.[1]
- The name is based on Cici's, notable for their all-you-can-eat pizza buffet, which Soso's is shown having.
- Although not an uncommon trope, two Roger's battle of wits is reminiscent of Westley vs. Vizzini in The Princess Bride, which American Dad! also parodied in "With Friends Like Steve's" as Steve tried to outmaneuver evil Barry.
