  • The original description for this episode reported that Stan and Hayley would be imprisoned in Tunisia. The episode opened in Tunisia and they were actually captured in Thailand.[1]
  • Francine creates caricatures of Stan at the leaning tower of Pisa, the Eiffel tower in Paris, the great pyramid in Giza and at the gates of the Auschwitz concentration camp in Poland.
  • So Fong plays "La Bamba" by Richie Valens instead of "Welcome to the Jungle".
  • While channel surfing, Klaus watches ski jumping and notes that when it isn't being done personally, it is actually boring.
  • Klaus had previously watched ski jumping on television in "Da Flippity Flop".
  • It's noted in this episode that Hayley has dropped out of Groff Community College.
  • Klaus plays "Russian roulette" promptly at 3:30.
  • Continuing a gag from "CIAPOW", the general has named his yaks 'Yakie Mason' (Jackie Mason), 'Samuel L. Yakson' (Samuel L. Jackson), 'Yakie O' (Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, also known as Jackie O), 'Boyak Horseman' (Bojack Horseman), 'Gene Yakman' (Gene Hackman), 'Hugh Yakman' (Hugh Jackman), noting these last two are brothers and a group he calls 'Nickelyak' (Nickelback).
  • On The Bitchin' Race, five teams are left for the Season Finale. On The Amazing Race, however, only three teams are left for the Season Finale.
  • This episode showcases a clip of Randy Jackson, Paula Abdul and Simon Cowell as judges on Thai Idol. In actuality, a version of Idol in Thailand never existed, and Jackson and Abdul were only ever judges on American Idol, with Cowell being on American Idol, Pop Idol and World Idol.
