The family competes on the reality show, The Bitchin' Race, with Stan and Francine, Hayley and Steve, Roger and another partner and two other pairs in the finals held in Bangkok, Thailand. Both Stan and Hayley are frustrated in having to pick up the slack for their partners and when a challenge to herd yaks push the two to the breaking point, they invoke a partner swap to dump Francine and Steve, who spend their time relaxing as they put off finishing the race. Roger and his partner drop out after realizing that they won't be the stars of the show and eventually end up as contestants on Thai Idol.

Misunderstanding instructions to find a 'big gorge,' Stan and Hayley stumble into a Thai rebel base and are imprisoned by the yak-loving general/interrogator that captured Stan and other CIA agents in "CIAPOW". With everyone else out of the race, the host begs for Francine and Steve to finish, showing them video of Stan and Hayley who have used their time in the prison camp to become more laid back. Arriving at the prison camp with the herd of yaks from the challenge that were taken from him, they propose a trade, along with a caricature of the general that Francine drew. Although the general considers capturing them all, Steve bests his soldiers with Tai Chi that he picked up and he agrees to the trade for Stan and Hayley.

Meanwhile, Klaus is left home alone where he channel surfs between segments of the race. At the end of the race which is settled without a winner, the house breaks apart and he floats away by balloon, believing that he has somehow won.
