Soso's Pizza is a restaurant chain that actually consists of spaceships, designed by aliens and placed throughout the United States in the event of "The Reckoning", an event that will wipe out the population should Law and Order: SVU be canceled.
In "The Fast and the Spurious", Roger tricks the family into going into space when none of them will ride in a car with him on earth due to his frequent accidents, his logic being that if he can drive a spaceship, he has no problem with an automobile. But when his efforts to return home fail and leave them low on fuel, they find their journey could take up to seven years to return home.
Francine spots a decrepit version of their ship, which docks with them and reveals Roger from three days in the future, where the Smith family has already perished. In order to avoid this fate, Future Roger insists that they have to do a slingshot maneuver around the sun. However, Steve gives Prime Roger his journal, which as actually Future Roger's, where he discovers that he has gone sun mad, and he's going to use their spaceship to crash into the sun. Future Roger manages to pitch his journal containing his plan into his old spaceship and set it free, and convinces the family to allow him to try his slingshot maneuver without telling them his plans, although they discover almost too late his intentions.
The two Rogers engage in a battle of wits, with Prime Roger eventually coming out on top and ejecting Future Roger out of the ship, where he's knocked out into space by an orbiting Tesla that was sent into space. With their only hope of getting home, the family allows Roger to try his slingshot maneuver, which he succeeds in performing this time.
