While escorting an elderly freshman around Groff Community College, Hayley discovers that she is within one credit of graduating. Not wanting to leave, she goes to Roger for help, but he gets Stan to agree to rent her room to him as the house rules state when she graduates, she is on her own. She finds that the only way to stay in school is to keep failing her last class, but Roger has enrolled to help her pass in his persona of Lacey Krinklehoel. When she tries to skip class, Roger straps their bed to his car and projects her image on another student to gain a grade. He finally convinces the teacher to grade on a single presentation and appoints himself as her partner.
Signalling surender, she convinces Roger to spend a night out on the town with her and ends up getting him plastered, getting the failing grade she wanted. Not giving up, Roger fakes his persona's suicide and Hayley is given an automatic 'A' grade. Stan takes the family out to dinner to celebrate, but when Roger brags about his persona, Hayley rips into it and upsets him. During the graduation, as she continues to rag on Lacey, Roger can no longer stand it and appears, costing the automatic grade and allowing Hayley to stay in school.
Meanwhile, when Francine's car lease is up with Fusfeld Motors, she prepares to return it, but Klaus offers to help remove dents and clean it up. However, he completely strips it to the bare frame to her frustration. After a month, it still isn't finished and she gives him an ultimatum to finish it in two days. When she returns, she finds that Klaus has completely customized it out. Turning the car in on the lease, the dealer is excited about taking it back, but still has to charge her for the unfixed dent that wasn't dealt with.
