Palmer Elymas is the host of the radio show The Wondercabinet on WLNG 98.2, pitching new age mysticism.
In "The Wondercabinet", as Steve tries to figure out what to do with his life, he stumbles across Palmer's show as he touts the abilities of the pineal gland to help reach transcendence. But when Stan insists that Steve quit listening to the nonsense, his anger causes him to have an out-of-body experience to a strange room and hears a faint voice crying for help, and he learns from a substitute DJ that Palmer vanished and decides he needs to search for him. Believing it to be a conspiracy by Palmer's choice villain, 'big fluoride', he enlists his friends to help him, unaware that Stan is pursuing them.
They manage to sneak into the radio station and locate Palmer's address, but instead of him being the victim of a conspiracy, they find he only has a toothache and admits to faking all the new age stuff. Stan's arrival and getting to say 'I told you so' triggers Steve to have another out-of-body experience.
