Show producer Kara Vallow has announced that American Dad! has gotten an 8th writing season, extending episodes into the 9th 2013-2014 broadcast season.

The nominations for Comedy Central’s inaugural Comedy Awards were announced this morning and among those mentioned were Family Guy and American Dad!

Both shows are nominated for “ANIMATED COMEDY SERIES” alongside South Park, The Simpsons and Archer.

The event will air on Sunday, April 10th.

Fox has announced their Comic Con line up for 2010. Included in that is American Dad! who are going to appear on Sunday July 25th at 12:30pm in Ballroom 20.

The panel will consist of producers Seth MacFarlane, Mike Barker & Matt Weitzman and cast members Dee Bradley Baker, Scott Grimes & Rachael MacFarlane where a never-before-seen episode of American Dad! in various stages of animation will be screened followed by a Q&A session.

Comic Con will run from the 22nd-25th of July in San Diego, California.
