Nerfer is Hayley's often mentioned friend.
In "Funnyish Games", Steve enters Groff Community College as an architecture student and finds himself sharing a class with Hayley. Despite his 'A' grade, he finds that Hayley scored higher without studying and complains. She calls him a "little bitch" like her friend Nerfer, which surprises Steve that not only is she smart, but has a friend by that name.
Hayley and Francine plan Nerfer's bachelorette party in "Roger Needs Dick". However, the two argue about making it a pirate theme or a steampunk theme due to Roger's Jeannie Gold being unavailable to help.
In "Mused and Abused", angry that The Langley Falls Bazooka Sharks sent a form letter instead of reading their suggestions for improving the football team, Stan and Francine seek to destroy the club's headquarters. Hayley is able to borrow Nerfer's armored bulldozer for the job.
Nerfer finally appears in "Beyond the Alcove", when Francine throws a dinner party. However, Francine gets upset when Klaus manages to monopolize the party so she attempts a second party and finds everyone still gravitates towards Klaus. She eventually learns that everyone has been hypnotized to like Klaus, including Nerfer, but eventually breaks his spell by proving that he's not cool. When she introduces herself, she notes that she works at the new location of 'The Old Spaghetti Factory'.
When Hayley refuses to believe that Jeff would pull such a stunt as driving a plane cross country in "Please Please Jeff", Nerfer and Danuta convince her that he really would do such a thing because he loves her.
In "Cow I Met Your Moo-ther", Hayley invites Nerfer and Danuta over to her house to hang out for the night.
When Jeff mistakes splitting up to search for clues as a breakup with Hayley in "Z.O.I.N.C.S.", he asks if it is alright if he asks Nerfer out.
