- "Lovely Day" by Bill Withers plays as the Smiths enjoy themselves in the backyard of their home.
- Stan identifies the power washer as having a Trans Am engine, which was made by GM for Pontiac. When Roger later describes his extended plot for revenge, he identifies the motor as a hemi, which is made by the Chrysler company.
- It is shown Hayley Smith wears her headband because of Stan mocking her forehead.
- Steve hints at an attraction to his mother, as he wanted the salt girl to call herself Francine.
