Thomas William "Tom" Selleck (born January 29, 1945) is an American actor, screenwriter and film producer, perhaps best known for his starring role as Hawaii-based private investigator Thomas Magnum on the television show Magnum, P.I.. He has appeared extensively in television series roles, including as Dr. Richard Burke in Friends and A.J. Cooper in Las Vegas. In addition to his series work, Selleck has appeared in more than fifty made-for-TV and general release movies, including Mr. Baseball, Quigley Down Under, and Lassiter.
Tom appears as Mangnum with Greg Brady in a fantasy sequence of Roger's in "Rough Trade" for winning the sales contest at Fusfeld Motors.
Stan shares the news with Francine that he heard Tom was at CIA Headquarters in "Widowmaker", but admits that he didn't see him personally.
The theme of Magnum, P.I. plays when Roger finds his fanny pack and in a chase scene later in "You Debt Your Life".
When Francine catches Stan "working" in trying to carry out an assassination of Goran the Mutilator at a posh resort in "Killer Vacation", he tries to cover it by claiming that he signed them up for a Magnum P.I. class and assigns her to be Tom's sidekick Higgins.
