James Todd Smith (born January 14, 1968), known professionally as LL Cool J, is an American rapper, actor, author, and entrepreneur. Although primarily known for his music, his acting roles include such projects as In Too Deep, Any Given Sunday, S.W.A.T. and as NCIS Special Agent Sam Hanna, on the television series NCIS: Los Angeles.
