- Roger plays a Vietnamese torturer during the reenactment. In "42-Year-Old Virgin", Roger said he actually fought for the Viet Cong during the war.
- Roger's bird is an Ortolan Bunting, traditional preparation of which does call for drowning the bird in brandy, as well as eating it under a large napkin. [1]
- While torturing Stan, Roger reads a supposed early draft of the Sex and the City movie script.
- The false code that Stan gives Roger (531-8008) reads "boobies" upside down on a calculator.
- Vietnam era songs "Fortunate Son" by Credence Clearwater Revival and Jefferson Airplane's "White Rabbit" are played as background music.
- "Adagio for Strings" by Samuel Barber plays as the "helicopter" leaves the reenactment.
- Steve's "flamethrower" has the words "Die, bitches" drawn on it.
- This episode was the first to have a 3D-animated sequence.
