  • This is one of few episodes where Roger plays a very minor role. He also plays one in "Escape from Pearl Bailey", "Better on Paper", "Multiverse Of American Dadness", "Nasty Christmas" and "Viced Principal"; though in the latter, he was the one who offered a solution to the Smiths.
  • This episode was accidentally leaked to Video On Demand on July 11, 2022.[1]
  • Stan mentions being angry because Francine forgot to get him an adjoining seat ticket to the Matt Damon film Downsizing. He also mentions that she ate all of the Golden Grahams the week they were married.
  • Steve allowed Hayley's The Sims family to die in a house fire.
  • Hayley poked holes In Francine's diaphragm when she was five, resulting in the birth of Steve. Francine refers to this as a disastrous result, but does admit she likes him now.
  • Hayley spent the vacation sick after licking a monkey's finger after being prompted by Francine who thought it was part of a commercial for salsa.
    • Suze's guest after the Smith's is a marketing monkey from Pace Picante sauce. Rene Russo will be sampling the salsa from the monkey's finger.
  • "Wilson", the volleyball from the film Cast Away, can be seen in the overhead compartment of the plane.
  • Francine hopes to find someone who can speak Portuguese at the lighthouse, having spent 2 days practicing with Duolingo.
  • When they decide that they need clothes to emulate the people in the commercial, Stan ends up with a bra and Hayley's headband, Steve wears Francine's dress as a toga, Hayley ends up with a pair of men's briefs and Stan's white shirt, while Francine wraps herself in Stan's suit.
  • When they first chose names for themselves, Steve and Stan pick 'Can' while Hayley and Francine pick 'Lighthouse'. On observing the commercial again, Stan decides to name himself 'Mom' because she is always seeing standing just as he is, Hayley picks 'Honey', Steve continues with 'Can' while Francine chooses 'Murphy Brown', after the show that was supposed to be on the tape, but is not watchable.
  • Francine believes the stars in the sky are other lighthouses, and that the earth is really an inverted wet bowl surrounded by lighthouses.
  • The introduction to Morning Mimosa's Liquid Lunch shows five quintuplets being interviewed; Suze wrestling the Dalai Lama; making stew with a Harlem Globetrotter; and winning a footrace with a giraffe.
  • Suze notes that the all the other plane crash survivors swam in the opposite direction to safety.
  • "Magnetic Island"'s original name was Misty Island.
  • Klaus crashes his Nissan hardbody from "Lumberjerk" into a Sidewinder XTR; his favorite garbage truck, as first seen in "Garbage Stan".
  • Sub Hub offers a pumpkin spice sub.
