Plot: When Roger finds his old high school yearbook, he reminded that he never got to live up to his potential. He finds a sympathetic ear in Stan, whose CIA work has always kept secret. Over multiple drinks and a visit to the show Morning Mimosa, Roger decides that the way to achieve his fulfillment is to reveal himself as an alien, and, after thinking it over, he decides that after he reveals himself, he'll have Stan fake his death so he can go back to living in the attic, so they both get the headlines they want. Their plans to create a television show about tax cops for maximum exposure catch the attention of a television producer who is willing to work with them.
The show Audit Dogs becomes a hit, with the finale planned for after the Super Bowl, but Stan is hesitant to proceed with the reveal. Pulling Roger aside, he says they should just go with their show for their notoriety, but Roger is not so easily dissuaded. Appearing on Morning Mimosa to promote their show, Roger intends to reveal himself, but is preempted when another alien lands on earth who is promptly gunned down by the CIA, as Stan had anticipated Roger's reveal. Pissed at no longer being the first alien revealed on Earth, Roger hijacks a NASA rocket and takes off to work at his uncle's space gas station. Meanwhile, Stan, struggling to recast Roger, finds a gift that would have marked their reveal and decides to rewrite the final episode to apologize to Roger, who is watching from the gas station. Turning down a chance to star in a film made by a movie producer of his species, he steals his ship and heads back to earth where he patches things up with Stan, but finds their show was cancelled and their writers killed while creating a spaceship for Stan.
