  • This episode has multiple issues with reporting its title. It was originally registered in the copyright database as "First, Do Not Farm". TBS and the Writer's Guild of America list it as "First, Do No Farm". A TBS press release on Futon Critic reports it as "First Do No Harm".[1]
  • Eddy Grant's "Electric Avenue" plays when Hayley discovers Stan's secret bunker.
  • "Weird Al" Yankovic's "Rabbitage" is a parody of the Beastie Boys song "Sabotage".
    • It was teased just 2 days prior to this episode's original broadcast during 'Comic-Con@Home' that Weird Al had an exclusive song for American Dad!.[2] The panel claims that Al wrote the song, but Al claims he did not write the song. [3]
    • The rejection letter that Stan and Roger receive features Weird Al's older appearance instead of his post-1999 look following corrective eye surgery.

  • The name of the restaurant where the Smiths hold their meetings is Buca di Beppo, after the established chain. Going by production order, the name of the restaurant was simply Buca in "Roger Needs Dick" which, due to a rescheduling, was placed as the episode following this one.
