  • The actual Francis Mallmann's 'Seven Fires' cooking method consist of a 'Parrilla' or an open grill which is what Francine is shown cooking steak on, a 'Chapa' cast iron grill, a wood oven 'Horno de Barro', a 'Lero' cauldron for boiled foods, a 'Rescoldo' for roasted vegetables encased in hot ashes as shown by Roger, and an 'Infierno' which is cooking between two fires.[1]
  • Klaus had a poster of a New Way Sidewinder XTR Automated Side Loader, a callback to "Garbage Stan". Just as in that episode, the family, namely Francine, tears it off of the wall.
  • Miss Nadine mentions Dom DeLuise's meatballs are noted on his tombstone.[2] In actuality, Dom was cremated to be included with his parents in a family plot.[3]
  • When asked if she'd be willing to go to Patagonia to learn to cook, Francine insists she'd even be willing to even go to L.L.Bean.
  • One of Roger's cooking class students, given the name of "Javier", is a caricature of former director Albert Calleros and has often been used in crowd scenes.
  • Jeff reveals that he too has a nail in his head and claims to know all domestic flight times. When he recites one, Klaus notes that he's not even close.
  • Roger drinks Nebuchadnezzar wine bottles, which contain 15 litres (4 US gallons).[4] The bottle contains "Rain Duck", a callback to "Toy Whorey".
  • Although generally limited to fowl, Roger's definition of 'spatchcock' is reasonably accurate.[5] Francine believes it to be grazing a man's penis with a backpack.
  • Roger notes that his body has regenerated missing parts previously, before worrying that this time it may not.
