Edward David "Ed" Asner (November 15, 1929 - August 29, 2021) was an American actor, known for his role as Lou Grant on The Mary Tyler Moore and Lou Grant, becoming one of the very few actors to play the same character in both a half-hour sitcom and an hour drama.
Over his last two decades, Asner had become a prolific cartoon voice actor, providing voices in shows such as Superman, Spider-Man, Justice League, The Boondocks, Gargoyles, Animaniacs, Freakazoid!, Batman and Up.
Ed provides the voice of Great-Grandpa Smith in "There Will Be Bad Blood" and the red mailbox in "Jenny Fromdabloc".
