Dominic Bernard Patrick Luke Monaghan (born 8 December 1976) is a German-born British actor, primarily known for playing Meriadoc "Merry" Brandybuck in Peter Jackson's film trilogy The Lord of the Rings, and Charlie Pace on the ABC television drama Lost.
In "Between A Ring And A Hardass" Dominic plots with the other hobbit cast of The Lord of the Rings to steal the prop ring used in the films. When their robbery plan goes wrong, they turn to kidnapping Steve, but are foiled when the Smith use Roger's sex-drugged laced Beef Wellington and porn videos to incapacitate them.
