Carl is one of the participants in Roger's Gym in "Da Flippity Flop". When he asks Roger to spot him, Roger finds out he needs forty dollars. When h asks Carl if he is "using" again, Carl hangs his head in acknowledgement. Roger give him a little extra to gt him some too. When Steve meets Carl later, Roger touts that Carl knows a lot about old buildings.
