Brian is a photographer that utilizes Stan's dejected look for stock ad photos when he finds out he may lose the house after a poor investment in "A Little Extra Scratch". As he begins to make money, Stan nearly loses his look, but Roger's slaps help him retain it. With Stan's success, Brian also finds success and works his way up to director where he needs Stan to look happy for once after his dejected look begins to sit in. Despite Roger's slap collapsing his face, Stan is able to complete his last commercial.
