- Toshi is aware that Roger is an alien.
- Comically, parodying the recurring gag where other characters are unable to understand Toshi's Japanese, Toshi himself misinterprets the samurai spirit Minamoto's "You know they cannot understand you" as a compliment for the day's clam chowder.
- The orchestra accompanying Etan's Bar Mitzvah plays the chorus of an instrumental version of The Four Seasons' "Walk Like A Man".
- The music in the bar with Lucius is "Green Onions" by Booker T & the MGs.
- Steve and Debbie dance to a cover version of "Y.M.C.A.", originally by the Village People.
- Ron, the DJ at Mentally Deficient Young Women in "Stan Knows Best", provides music for Etan's Bar Mitzvah.
- The dance game's music shown at Snot's Bar Mitzvah is Brent Spiner's voice from Star Trek synthesized to music.
- Stan thinks the sitcom Two and a Half Men is funny because Charlie Sheen "sleeps with whores then has breakfast with a fat kid."
- When Stan breaks the fourth wall, Klaus is revealed as a costumed character in front of a green screen. In "Bullocks To Stan", Klaus is shown at a table read for American Dad! as a normal sized fish.
- According to the DVD commentary, the voice actor for Etan originally was Seth Rogen, who has starred in numerous blockbuster films. The American Dad! team choose not to use his voice as they deemed that it was too deep and not "child-like" enough.
