- Roger's 'Hibachi Liberace' creates a hanging chad, referring to a political hot issue during the 2000 Presidential election.[1]
- The 'Knights Turdlar' are a spoof of the Knights Templar, a Catholic military order founded in 1119. In addition to their military duties, they were notable for their affairs in church finances. Due to the failures of the Crusades and influence by King Philip IV of France who was deeply in debt to the order, they were officially disbanded in 1312.[2]
